Experiencing imposter syndrome as a career coach

I thought I had overcome imposter syndrome…. and then I started a business.

When I launched my career coaching services, I assumed my clients would mostly be product designers ‘cause that's where the bulk of my 10 years in tech came from.

But here's who has actually worked with me:
→ Product Designers
→ UX/UI Designers
→ Graphic Designers
→ Industrial Designers
→ Product Managers
→ Marketing Coordinators
→ Customer Support Specialists
→ Business Development Managers

I've even had people reach out in risk & compliance, network operations, and engineering (𝘺𝘦𝘦, 𝘮𝘺 𝘊𝘝 𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰𝘰!).

Turns out the job search playbook looks 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘺 similar no matter what industry you're in:

→ Putting yourself out there (even when it feels uncomfortable!)
→ Crafting a memorable personal brand (go be cringe on LinkedIn)
→ Creating a resume that stops the recruiter mid-scroll (yeees, design matters!)
→ Walking into interviews with a healthy chunk of DELULU

Then they'd come back and tell me things like...

"𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸!" → "𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥!" → "𝘐 𝘎𝘖𝘛 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘖𝘍𝘍𝘌𝘙!!!" 😱😱😱

Do I still experience imposter syndrome? YEEEUP!

But every win makes me super grateful to be in this position. 🥹

If you're feeling stuck in your job search, book a free 30-min clarity call with me.

I would LOVE to help you get closer to your career goals.
